Thank you for a beautiful night at Waldorf at UMLAUF!

On Friday, March 31st we celebrated at Waldorf at UMLAUF, our spring gala. More than 200 parents, faculty, alumni parents, alumni and friends gathered to sip signature cocktails provided by Treaty Oak, bid on artwork, and dance under the stars. The beautiful evening was planned by the 2017 Gala Committee: Alex Abbott, Amy Ballinger, Karen Draker, Rebecca Judis, Geraldine Rindon, and Donna Zollinger.

One of the highlights of the event was the stunning silent auction. More than 50 pieces of art, from oil paintings to blacksmithing were curated from artists in our community and local Austin artists and displayed against the backdrop of UMLAUF”s natural beauty. The silent auction raised more than $10,000, and the beautiful artwork created an unforgettable atmosphere.

During the program, a video produced by Canyon Darcy (AWS ‘07) shone a spotlihgt on our alumni, and what the Austin Walorf School means to them.

Waldorf at UMLAUF raised money for two exciting upcoming projects: the High School Beautification Project, and Kindergarten and Lower Grades playground improvements. More than $125,000 was raised at the gala, and the net amount raised was $88,000! Every dollar of this money will go towards improving our beautiful 19-acre campus.

The Gala Committee, Development Committee, and Board of Trustees are deeply appreciative of everyone who made this event a success. Thank you to each and every one of you for attending Waldorf at UMLAUF, bidding on the silent auction, raising your paddle, and sharing your evening with us. This event was truly a success because of you!

“We deeply appreciate how welcoming the high school faculty and staff have been. Our son's academic challenges have been supported and we truly feel blessed to have him in the high school.”
