Make a difference every year

At the Austin Waldorf School we are committed to inspiring a strong culture of philanthropy and community engagement, essential elements of a high-quality independent school education and the future of the Austin Waldorf School.

Tuition alone does not cover the full cost of our school’s day-to-day operating costs. Philanthropic gifts make up this gap, and also provide the Austin Waldorf School with the resources and flexibility to continually invest in our programs and facilities. Your gift ensures the long-term health and sustainability of the Austin Waldorf School for students now and in the future.

How you can support the Austin Waldorf School

Each year, our community of parents, Board Trustees, faculty and staff, alumni families, grandparents, and friends choose to invest in the Austin Waldorf School to enrich the experiences of our students in many ways.

Giving Tree Annual Fund

The Giving Tree Annual Fund contributions help bridge the gap between tuition and operating expenses. Every donation helps support the needs of our students and teachers. The wide range of needs includes class field trips, faculty and staff salaries, funding for professional development, school utilities, and repairs.

Annual Benefit

The Annual Benefit (March 29, 2019) is a fun, creative, adults-only party and auction that supports major programmatic initiatives.

Directed Giving

Directed Giving opportunities allow our community to invest in specific projects, supplies, or programmatic areas where teachers have requested additional support, including facilities upgrades, financial aid, and additional supplies.

Become a Development Champion

Development Committee members, Giving Tree class liaisons, and Annual Benefit Committee members support the school in a variety of ways including: sharing fundraising messaging in class meetings; sending emails to their classes during the Giving Tree; helping to plan and coordinate the Annual Benefit; soliciting auction items and sponsorships; and of course by making financial gifts.

The ultimate objective of all these activities is to ensure our children today and for generations to come to ensure the benefits of a Waldorf education.

Please contact the Development Office, at (512) 288-5942 x114 or with any questions or to get involved. We welcome your visit to the Development Office, located in the Main Office just across from the reception desk. Please stop by and introduce yourself! We can share more about what we are doing and how your family can be part of this important effort.
