High School Faculty

Joshua Whisenhunt

High School Humanities

Joshua grew up in Colleyville, Texas, and has called Austin home since 2005 when he began attending the University of Texas. While at University of Texas, he worked as a tutor for the Undergraduate Writing Center and became a certified mediator before graduating with his BA in English. Since then, Joshua has been a self-employed tutor and homeschool teacher. He has worked with students of all ages in subjects ranging from early reading to Physics, and he has led homeschool students through their math and ELAR curriculums. He joined the Austin Waldorf School in 2019 as a tutor for the high school and small groups leader for the grades school. As a multidisciplinary teacher, Joshua is delighted to be part of both the Humanities and Math faculty for the high school.

“The faculty have genuine enthusiasm for their subjects, and that comes through when they share them with our children. I appreciate and respect their willingness to bring experiences from different cultures to the students.”
