Raghda Daftedar

Member

Raghda Daftedar is an Education Consultant working at the intersection of science education, cognitive development, and improvement science.

Her core interest lies in developing research-based instructional materials that engage students with science as a way of knowing and the commensurate leadership and coaching systems that support its efficacy. Since completing her doctoral studies on scientific reasoning and metacognitive development at Teachers College, Columbia University, she has explored this interest through multiple roles at the school, district, and state levels.

A Pharmacist by training, graduating Magna Cum Lada from Cairo Univerity, Egypt, Raghda was raised in Kuwait and became an educator to answer a spiritual call to be an education servant. She views education as a fundamental human rights for all children, and thus, developing equitable, excellent, safe schools as an issue of equity.

Raghda enjoys cross-training, cooking, solving puzzles, and traveling with her husband and two girls, Ava and May.
