12th Grade Trip to Bamberger Ranch

Just before Spring Break the Seniors had a wonderful trip to the Bamberger Ranch.  This was part of their 12th grade Biology course that focuses on Ecology, Genetics and Evolution.  While at the Ranch the seniors participated in ecological studies on birds, plants, rivers and insects as well as designing and executing their own studies.  These included investigating plant communities in different locations, birds found in different habitats, and the location of fish nests in the lake.  It was a memorable trip with one of the highlights being joined at dinner by David Bamberger himself.

“I like how creativity and individuality are integrated into community building and learning to achieve as a group.”
