Celebrate the Austin Waldorf School at our annual spring gala, raising funds to support our school  and enrich the daily lives of nearly 400 students!

This year’s gala, Waldorf at UMLAUF will be set against the backdrop of the natural beauty of the UMLAUF Sculpture Garden, and strives to reflect the vibrant community of the school.

Guests will enjoy hors d’oeuvres and signature cocktails from area chefs. dance to music from local musicians, then bid on unique silent auction items and raise their paddle to pledge support for the school’s rolling 19-are campus. It will be a relaxing evening of cocktails and conversation with friends in an unforgettable setting.

Individual tickets are $100; sponsorship opportunities start at $1,000.

Paddles Up!

This year’s gala will feature a paddle raise rather than a live auction. During the paddle raise, we invite all guests to make a monetary donation to support our beautiful 19-acre campus. When you raise your paddle and pledge your support, you are directly investing in the facilities that our students use every day.

Silent Auction

Stonecarving, blacksmithing, fiber arts, painting and more… this year’s gala strives to reflect and celebrate the artwork that is at the heart of the Austin Waldorf School. The silent auction will feature original artwork from our talented Waldorf community and local Austin artists.

New This Year: Select silent auction items  will be available online before the event! Previews coming soon.

Pay What You Can

Gala tickets to Waldorf at UMLAUF are $100 per person, a price that covers the cost of the event, so we hope many can pay that amount.

However, we want everyone to be able to join this remarkable community gathering, so we are introducing a “Pay what you can” option. This means that you can pay a smaller amount (you decide) and join your fellow parents.  Who pays what amount is confidential… we are one community at this event, raising money for our students, faculty, and campus.

Every dollar raised will support improving our facilities including the high school campus refresh playground upgrades, and more. For “Pay what you can” tickets please contact Catherine Ashton at or (512) 288-5942 x114.

We are grateful for our generous sponsors for making this event a success. Thank you for your support!

“The faculty have genuine enthusiasm for their subjects, and that come through when they share them with our children. I appreciate and respect their willingness to bring experiences from different cultures to the students.”
