Parent Society | March Update

A longtime Dallas/Fort Worth-area sports scribe (Blackie Sherrod) used to include a segment called “Scattershooting” in his weekly column, in which he’d deliver short, quick-hitting thoughts. The Parent Society version of Scattershooting gives us the nuts and bolts of what is happening in the world of the Parent Society.

… While appreciating the grown-ups in the room.

… Seriously, even though I’ve been an adult for 25+ years, I’m still finding great role models in this community.

…Most recent Parent Society and All Community Meetings each had open forum opportunities.  Parents were extremely respectful, open and honest with one another.  This open dialogue promotes a healthy environment at AWS.

…Was mesmerized by the energy and knowledge of the effervescent Hana Absi who is part of an effort to open the Waldorf School of Jordan and has been visiting AWS.   More on Hana here: Parent Society blog

…Spring Fair – get it on your calendar now!  Saturday, April 29th 9:00am to 1:00pm.  This fun annual event truly captures the essence of springtime at the Austin Waldorf School.  Games, crafts, music and memories – all free!
