Health Tips: Lice

This time of year often brings unwanted visitors that live and thrive on the heads of children (and adults).

Lice.

Luckily, there haven’t been any reported cases of lice at AWS for the spring. Hooray!

Now is the perfect time for prevention. Whatever magic you know how to work for lice prevention please pull out that bag of tricks!

The most basic and no cost method of prevention is to CHECK THOSE HEADS. Unearth your inner nitpicker and take a look at your child’s hair. Start at the back, base of the head, from ear to ear (they usually take residence in that area first). Outdoors on a sunny day is the best light.
