Marion Rocco
Librarian
Marion Rocco has been a youth librarian since 2011. She holds a BA in Education & Child Study from Smith College and an MS in Information Studies from The University of Texas at Austin. A former student of both the Austin Waldorf and Berkshire Waldorf schools, she is especially happy to bring her love of books and reading to the AWS community.
Marion had the incredible experience of working for the children’s author and artist Eric Carle upon graduating from college and has been devoted to the world of children’s books ever since. Her passion for children’s literature keeps her active in professional organizations including the American Library Association and the United States Board on Books for Young People. Her most recent service was as a member of the prestigious Newbery Award Committee. When she is not curled up with a book, you can find Marion dancing, walking her dog, or knitting.
