Jennifer Sapio

High School Humanities

Jennifer Sapio holds a B.A. in Medieval and Renaissance Studies from Columbia University and a PhD in English from The University of Texas at Austin.  Jennifer has been an educator for the past eleven years.  She has taught at Harlem Village Academy Charter School, Menlo-Atherton High School, the Institute for Reading Development, Regents School of Austin, the University of Texas Departments of English and Rhetoric and Writing, and Austin Community College Department of English and Journalism.  Jennifer is currently working on her Foundations Studies for Waldorf teacher training and is being mentored by John Wulsin.  Jennifer teaches High School Humanities courses for Austin Waldorf School, including Grammar, Art of Poetry, History through Architecture, Dante and Hamlet, Russian Literature, Transcendentalism, Comparative Religion, Mythology, and Comedy and Tragedy.  In her free time, Jennifer enjoys gardening, reading, hiking, and writing poetry.
