David Thornberry

12th Grade Drawing and Painting

David Thornberry received his MFA from Kent State University in 1988 and his BFA, also from Kent State University in 1986.  David splits his time between his painting practice and the teaching of studio art classes at Austin Community College, Laguna Gloria and the Dougherty Arts Center.  He is currently working on a series of twelve paintings based on animals of the Yellowstone ecosystem.  David is a published poet and has recently released his eighteenth volume of poetry.
