Terri Everett

High School Director

Terri Everett currently serves as the High School Director at Austin Waldorf School. Terri has spent more than twenty-three years in Waldorf education. She has served as chair of the High School Student Life Committee since 2017 and was a class advisor for the Classes of 2011 and 2015.

In 2021, Terri began teaching the Middle School Cyber Civics and Social-Emotional Learning courses. That year she also guided the Class of 2026 as they formed the first ever Middle School Student Council. In 2022 Terri began serving as a member of the College of Teachers and a member of the Board of Trustees at Austin Waldorf School, working with these groups to help guide the school into the next century. For several years she served as chair of the Calendar Committee and Grades Scheduling Committee, and continues to advise in those planning processes.

Terri holds a Bachelor of Music Theory from the University of Houston and Master of Music in Music Theory from the University of Texas. Previously her role at the school spans Grades 3-12. She directed the High School Chorus, the Middle School Girls Chorus, the Middle School Concert Band, the Fourth and Fifth Grade choruses, and taught general music in Grades 3, 4, and 5.

A vocalist and percussionist herself, she enjoys performing with local ensembles whenever possible. Terri and her husband Richard are parents to Abigail who began attending the Austin Waldorf School as a Kindergarten student in 2007. Terri enjoys fitness and healthy cooking, and she has a deep interest in the drum and bugle corps activity.
