Robert Miller

Art Program Director

Robert Miller is the Chair of the school’s Art department and teaches grades 6-12 studio art, sculpture and art history.

A native Texan with two children enrolled at the school, Robert holds an M.F.A. in painting and printmaking from Yale University and a B.F.A. in painting and printmaking from the School of Visual Arts in New York City.

Robert is a member of the General Anthroposophic Society and is active in the work of its Art Section. Robert was recently awarded 2008-2009 Art Teacher of the Year by TAPPS (Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools).This will be Robert’s eleventh year at the Austin Waldorf School.

“My son started at Austin Waldorf in the 9th grade. He came from public school but was very excited about the change. The high school campout was the best thing that could have ever happened for my son. He formed very tight bonds over those days and truly began to feel like part of the family.”
