Daniel Smith

Art: Woodworking

Daniel Smith earned a BA in Art Education from Kent State University in Ohio. He later earned a Master of Fine Arts in Blacksmithing from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale Illinois. In 2004, he moved to Austin, Texas and discovered the Waldorf School. He has been teaching blacksmithing, joinery and copper in the high school, while teaching woodworking to the grade school students.  Daniel enjoys staying active in local and national blacksmithing organizations. He also enjoys spending time with his family and baking together.
