Joshua Goldstein

Joshua Goldstein, Class of 2009, passed away in a paragliding accident in the Slovenian Alps on July 10, 2018. He had paraglided all over the world and truly loved the sport. He was living at the time in Salt Lake City, Utah – where he worked as a programmer doing remote sensing image mapping.

Joshua graduated from Georgia Tech in 2013 with a degree in Aerospace Engineering – with honors. He also spent a year as a graduate student at Stanford University, studying Computational & Mathematical Engineering.

His interests included geospatial analysis, paragliding, and salsa dancing.

“I cannot express how wonderful it has been to see my brother experience a Waldorf education. Traditional schooling methods did not meet the way his mind works. His intellect and creativity were not nurtured or appreciated. He has flourished at Austin Waldorf.”
